IAF Sarang Helicopter Team Reaches Egypt for El Alamein International Airshow

New Delhi : The Indian Air Force’s Sarang Helicopter Display Team has arrived in Egypt to participate in the second edition of the El Alamein International Airshow, scheduled from September 8 to 10 at El Alamein International Airport.

Known as the world’s only five-helicopter display team, Sarang will showcase precision flying, professional skills and spectacular aerial formations during the international airshow.

The team flies the indigenously designed and manufactured Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) Dhruv, highlighting the capabilities of India’s indigenous aerospace industry. The demanding displays feature close-proximity flying, intricate formation manoeuvres and highly synchronized aerial sequences.

Sarang to Showcase New Aerial Manoeuvre

As part of its performance in Egypt, the Sarang team will showcase its signature “Dolphin Leap” manoeuvre along with a new aerial manoeuvre called the “Spot Stall Turn.”

The displays will offer aviation enthusiasts and spectators from around the world an opportunity to witness the agility and versatility of the ALH Dhruv, as well as the exceptional flying skills and discipline of IAF pilots.

The Sarang team’s participation is also expected to add a distinctive dimension to the El Alamein International Airshow and further strengthen India-Egypt defence and diplomatic ties.

The international airshow brings together leading air forces and professionals from the aerospace, defence and space sectors from across the globe, providing an important platform for international engagement and cooperation.
