New Delhi: For Rajan Gupta, a career in aviation began with a simple dream, a willingness to work hard and the courage to take a chance on himself. Coming from a humble family, Gupta took an education loan to pursue Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, laying the foundation for a career that would eventually take him to a senior leadership role at IndiGo.

Gupta joined IndiGo as a Trainee in 2011. During his early years, he focused on learning the technical aspects of aircraft maintenance while making the most of the opportunities available to him.

His career progressed through IndiGo’s Internal Job Posting (IJP) process, enabling him to move into the role of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. Over the years, he took up responsibilities across Line Maintenance, the Maintenance Control Centre and Technical Services, gaining experience in different aspects of airline engineering and operations.

Today, Gupta serves as a Senior Manager, where he leads critical fleet maintenance programmes that play an important role in supporting IndiGo’s operational requirements.
