Kolkata: Artificial Intelligence and its growing influence on education, careers and entrepreneurship took centre stage at Narula Institute of Technology (NiT), where 16-year-old AI innovator Raul John Aju interacted with students as part of the ‘AI Horizons’ session organised by JIS Group.
Raul, popularly known as the “AI Kid of India,” spoke to students about the rapid development of AI and how young learners can use the technology for innovation, problem-solving and entrepreneurship.
At 16, Raul has developed more than 15 AI tools, founded an AI startup and claims to have trained nearly five lakh learners through various AI education initiatives. His journey was a key part of the interaction, giving students an insight into how early experimentation with technology can develop into larger projects and entrepreneurial ventures.
During the session, Raul discussed the expanding use of AI across different sectors and its potential impact on education, employment and professional practices. He also stressed the importance of continuous learning, adaptability and experimentation as AI technologies continue to evolve.
The session also focused on the responsible use of AI. Students were encouraged to look beyond using AI simply as a productivity tool and explore its applications in creativity, innovation and solving real-world problems.
The programme was attended by students and academic stakeholders of Narula Institute of Technology and formed part of JIS Group’s initiatives around emerging technologies and industry-oriented education.
Speaking at the programme, JIS Group Director Sardar Simarpreet Singh said that interactions with young innovators can help students understand emerging technologies beyond the classroom and develop an entrepreneurial approach towards technology.
The ‘AI Horizons’ session provided students with an opportunity to directly interact with a young AI practitioner and discuss the possibilities and challenges emerging from the rapid growth of Artificial Intelligence.
