Kolkata : Director General of the Border Security Force (BSF), Daljit Singh Chawdhary, IPS, concluded a two-day visit to Kolkata to review and expedite critical border infrastructure projects. During his visit, he also attended the inauguration of the new passenger terminal at ICP Petrapole, by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
DG BSF Daljit Singh Chawdhary attended a meeting with the Chief Secretary of West Bengal, senior state officials and representatives from the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) to address land acquisition needs for BSF’s infrastructure projects. These initiatives include advanced Border Outposts (BOPs), upgraded single-type fencing, and dedicated border roads, essential for bolstering border management.

These infrastructure projects are crucial to enhance border security and foster a sense of safety for residents along the border.
DG BSF Daljit Singh Chawdhary reviewed Indo-Bangladesh border security with BSF officials at FTR Headquarters in Rajarhat. Briefed on operational readiness by IG South Bengal Frontier, he met with officers and jawans, boosted their morale. He underscored the importance of health and welfare of jawans and directed to undertake all measures for improving facilities for troops . His visit reaffirmed the BSF’s critical role in national security, cross-border crime prevention, and safeguarding the country.
