Kolkata : Bandhan Bank has enabled seamless State tax and non-tax payments for Assam through the Assam e-GRAS portal, allowing customers to make payments conveniently across both online and offline channels.
The Assam e-GRAS platform enables users to generate challans and log in using their registered mobile number or username to initiate payments. To further enhance accessibility, 109 Bandhan Bank branches across Assam will assist customers in availing this facility.
The service covers a comprehensive range of State taxes — including property tax, land revenue, agriculture-related taxes, and sales tax — as well as non-tax revenues such as VAT, application and examination fees, fines and penalties, dividends from state enterprises, and other government receipts.
Customers benefit from instant payment acknowledgements with GRN (Government Reference Number) and CIN (Challan Identification Number), along with the facility to download challans directly from the portal. The system provides 24×7 access for generating and completing payments, ensures secure transactions through mandatory two-factor authentication, and allows taxpayers to preview transactions before final confirmation.
Payment options include:
- Offline payments via “Payment Across Bank Counter (Cash/Cheque)” at 109 Bandhan Bank branches in Assam
- Online payments through Internet Banking (Retail and Corporate)
- Payment Gateway modes, including Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, and UPI
Additionally, Bandhan Bank branches in Assam will accept cheques and demand drafts issued by other banks for tax payments.
Commenting on the development, Rajinder Kumar Babbar, ED & Chief Business Officer, Bandhan Bank, said:
