Kolkata : JIS University has entered into an international academic partnership with San Diego State University Global Campus to offer US-accredited higher education programs in India, marking a significant step toward global academic integration and international learning opportunities for Indian students.
The collaboration aims to jointly deliver globally recognised academic programs under the SDSU GlobalFlex framework, allowing students to access international curricula and educational standards while studying in India. The initiative is expected to strengthen academic exchange, global exposure, and career-oriented learning among students.
San Diego State University (SDSU), part of the renowned California State University system in the United States, brings its extensive academic expertise and international outreach through its Global Campus division. The Global Campus offers both credit and non-credit programs designed for learners across the world.
According to the agreement signed between the two institutions, both universities will work together to ensure smooth delivery of academic programs while maintaining international standards of quality, compliance, and student support. Students enrolled in the GlobalFlex Programs will be recognised as SDSU students and will follow the academic and disciplinary regulations of SDSU, alongside applicable institutional guidelines of JIS University.
The partnership agreement also highlights strict protocols related to student admissions, ethical practices, confidentiality, and data protection to ensure transparency and safeguard student interests. Both institutions have committed to complying with relevant international data protection laws while maintaining confidentiality of student records and information.
The collaboration has initially been signed for a period of five years, with options for review and future renewal based on mutual agreement and academic progress.
