Eastern Railway To Run More 4 Holi Special Trains

Kolkata: To clear the expected rush of passengers during ensuing Holi, Railway has decided to run four Holi special trains in different directions. To alleviate this issue and ensure hassle-free travel for passengers, the special train will run between Howrah & Barmer, Asansol & New Jalpaiguri, Malda Town & Udhna and Howrah & Indore .These special trains will offer additional capacity and flexibility to accommodate the extra rush of passengers during the Holi festival period.

04813 Barmer – Howrah Holi Special will leave Barmer at 00.15 hrs on 19.03.2024 & 26.03.2024 (02 trips) to reach Howrah at 16.00 hrs on the next day and 04814 Howrah – Barmer Holi Special will leave Howrah at 15.00 hrs on 21.03.2024 & 28.03.2024 (02 trips) to reach Barmer at 04.30 hrs on the next day. The special train will stop at Pradhankhunta, Asansol, Durgapur & Bardhaman stations within Eastern Railway jurisdiction in both directions enroute.

05764 New Jalpaiguri – Asansol Holi Special will leave New Jalpaiguri at 21.45 hrs on 22.03.2024 & 29.03.2024 (02 trips) to reach Asansol at 10.25 hrs on the next day and 05763 Asansol – New Jalpaiguri Holi Special will leave Asansol at 13.00 hrs on 23.03.2024 & 30.03.2024 (02 trips) to reach New Jalpaiguri at 02.30 hrs on the next day. The special train will stop at Jasidah, Madhupur and Chittaranjan stations within Eastern Railway jurisdiction in both directions enroute.

09013 Udhna- Malda Town Holi Special will leave Udhna at 09.50 hrs on 21.03.2024 & 28.03.2024 (02 trips) to reach Malda Town at 22.00 hrs on the next day and 09014 Malda Town- Udhna Holi Special will leave Malda Town at 09.05 hrs on 23.03.2024 & 30.03.2024 (02 trips) to reach Udhna at 23.55 hrs on the next day. The special train will stop at Abhaipur, Jamalpur, Sultanganj, Bhagalpur, Kahalgaon, Sahibganj, Barharwa and New Farakka stations within Eastern Railway jurisdiction in both directions enroute.

09335 Indore – Howrah Holi Special will leave Indore at 23.30 hrs on 15.03.2024, 22.03.2024 & 29.03.2023 (03 trips) to reach Howrah at 07.00 hrs on the third day and 09336 Howrah – Indore Holi Special will leave Howrah at 11.05 hrs on 17.03.2024, 24.03.2024 & 31.03.2024 (03 trips) to reach Indore at 18.20 hrs on the next day. The special train will stop at Asansol, Durgapur and Bardhaman stations within Eastern Railway jurisdiction in both directions enroute.

By introducing these Holi Special Trains, Eastern railway will generate an additional 21200 berths, providing much needed relief to the surge in passenger numbers during these Holi Festival. The booking of 04814 (Howrah-Barmer) and 05763 (Asansol-New Jalpaiguri) is available through PRS and internet and the date of booking of others two Holi special trains will be notified shortly.
