Kolkata: Eveready Industries India Ltd. has unveiled the ‘Ultima Bahon’, the largest AA battery-powered remote-controlled toy truck, to celebrate Durga Puja in a unique way. Recognised by both the India Book of Records and the Asia Book of Records, the toy truck is powered by eight Eveready Ultima AA batteries and carries the idol of Goddess Durga into a Puja organised by underprivileged children.
Partnering with Vikramshila Education Resource Society, Eveready is sponsoring the Durga Puja organised by a school teaching children up to Class 4, ensuring they experience the festivities with joy and dignity.
Unveiled by Anirban Banerjee, CEO, Eveready Industries, in the presence of actress Priyanka Sarkar, teachers and students, the Ultima Bahon symbolizes both tradition and innovation. Designed by engineers, the truck also carries miniature depictions of the Goddess’s divine Bahons, blending creativity with cultural essence.
“This initiative is about bringing smiles to children who celebrate with devotion but limited resources,” said Banerjee. Sarkar called the initiative “a reminder that the simplest joys create the most unforgettable memories.”
The record-setting Ultima Bahon will also be showcased at 95 Pally Puja Association during Durga Puja for the public to witness.
