Kolkata: Sealdah Division organised a special women-focused programme, ‘Sakhi’, at Manthan Auditorium, Sealdah, with discussions centred on workplace safety, women’s health and financial awareness.
The programme was organised under the leadership of Nidhi Saxena, President, ERWWO/Sealdah, in association with the Personnel and Medical Departments of Sealdah Division. Rajeev Saxena, DRM, Sealdah, was also present at the programme.

The sessions covered three key areas — Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PoSH), Women’s Health Awareness and Financial Awareness.
The PoSH session focused on creating awareness about maintaining a safe, respectful and dignified workplace. Women employees were also informed about the mechanisms available for addressing workplace harassment-related concerns.
The health awareness session highlighted the importance of preventive healthcare, regular medical check-ups and adopting a healthy lifestyle. The financial awareness session, meanwhile, focused on savings, investments, financial planning and making informed decisions for long-term financial security.
Around 80 women employees from different departments and fields of Sealdah Division participated in the programme. The interactive sessions also allowed participants to raise questions, seek clarifications and share their experiences.
The initiative is part of Sealdah Division’s efforts to promote women’s empowerment, employee welfare and a more inclusive workplace, with a focus on improving awareness about safety, health and financial well-being among women employees.
